Baozhong is the original green oolong from Taiwan. This one is the old-school style— Slightly more oxidized that the modern type: darker, savory, and a pronounced minerality. Crisp, refreshing, and nuanced, it rides the edge between a green tea and oolong. This one's creaminess adds sophistication.
Peddler's note: I find it equally nice in a simple grandpa style tea loose in a cup or in gong fu cha

Frog
Steeping in Connection
This far-out frog is a talisman for health practices, crossing their legs and assuming different hand postures to direct energy through their body. They use their lightning-fast tongue to catch unsuspecting flies, nourishing themself in almost perfect stillness. With a scarab medallion worn close to the skin—a symbol of revitalization, and a protection against illness and supernatural attacks—they offer themself as a symbol of healing on many levels.
There are stories of immortals who could pass through fire and water, and travel on clouds and earth alike. As an amphibian, the frog is a natural guide for moving between realms. They can spring high into the air and move with ease through water and land. On the other hand, they are also known for being vulnerable to changes in the atmosphere—truly their strength and peril are both tied into their complete connection to their environment.
Belly breathing is small potatoes compared to this frog who can literally breathe through their pores. Sitting with their tea in the garden, the frog feels the whole environment breathing into them. Inundated with sunlight shining on swaying grass or a tree billowing in the wind, they steep in their connection. When the pond calls to them, the frog splashes into that familiar watery dimension—totally submerged, immersed—porous to the psychedelic sensation of being intimate with the world.
Whether through qigong, their tea, or diving into the lake—the frog is always opening up to the enmeshment of the world they live in. They can’t help but sense the symbiotic support and shared fate of frog and pond, pond and garden, garden and cosmos.
