Wild Lapsang

This Via Tiempo fave is an elegant wild grown red from the birthplace of Chinese red tea, Tongmu Villiage, up at 1000 meters in Fujian. Its delicious balance of citrus, cream, and peach aromas makes it easy to love. Fresh and sweet with medium tannins—its unique balance comes from the mixture of of lapsang qi zhong, rougui, and qilan varietals harvested to bring this tea to life.

Peddler's Note: Whenever I send this tea out in the subscription, notes of adoration come back at me with abundance (adoration for the tea of course). It's a fireworks display of flavors.

Bull

Auspicious Synchronicities

Moving confidently through an open field of grass, the bull rises up to assess the terrain, and finds that no obstacles are standing in his way. Everywhere auspicious synchronicities alight like balloons of blessings descending from the sky. Strokes of red ink celebrate a transcendent affirmation of purpose. Red dots drip from the maker’s brush as the next victory hovers in pre-composition. 

In the bull’s eye there is perhaps sadness or worry. Is it even loneliness or existential angst? The world is at his hooftips, and yet he wonders if this cosmic adulation is excessive. Romping through a dazzling world, bumping against the ornament swinging from his horn, he can’t help but experience an eerie empty feeling creeping in.

But he is in the summer of life, and his tremendous strength and softly longing heart propel him across the open plain. Auspiciousness resounds as he continues to tumble through good fortune, unsure what it is all for—or how much fun he can endure.

The bull empathizes with your search for fun, belonging, and purpose in a world of auspicious coincidences and hollow facades. He invites you to enjoy your tea while it's still warm, and not worry too much about cosmic adulation one way or the other.
