A new Dong Ding for 2022.
Grown at 800 meters in Taiwan on Dong Ding Plateau, Dong Ding is quintessential comfort tea. Nutty, rich, lightly oxidized and heavily roasted.
This Dong Ding is both full of clear notes of deliciousness, while also robust/sturdy/fortifying. So, I guess it has it all. It has a density that is impressive. Flavor-wise, most prominently I taste cinnamon. This tea too is soothing, and lingers in the throat, but I like to say fortifying, because the soothe is less milky and ephemeral—it has iron and resolve baked in. In fact, the two teas' similarities are in their region, style, and roasting. The differences are in the varietal and the degree of roastings—from minimal to maximal if you will.
